Halfamoon has a layout! (Plus manips and icons.)

When I volunteered to create a layout for halfamoon, at first I was boggled by the idea of only picking a *few* characters to represent all of the awesome female characters we love in fandom. How impossible is that!? Whoever I picked, I knew I would be leaving out huge swaths of fandom! Anyway, what I eventually decided was to organize the layout, very roughly, in terms of the theme Mind, Body and Spirit.

(For most of my icon sets, including the icons I'll be posting on this comm for the next two weeks, I go on a "first come, first served" basis, with icons being claimable by one person only, but I would love for these icons to be used by as many people as possible, in order to promote halfamoon! So if you like them, please take them. Please also feel free to make your own icons from the base manips, if you'd like.)

[Vid] Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (Rei/Minako)

I'm sure that every woman of a certain age has some experience with Sailor Moon. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (PGSM) is a live-action version of the manga and anime, with some significant changes from the previously told story. The effects are iffy, and the costumes and wigs take some getting used to, but the series is addicting, and more emotionally affecting than I could ever have anticipated.

Synergy, a vid by firesoul19, is all about the often uneasy, but deeply meaningful relationship between Rei (Sailor Mars) and Minako (Sailor Venus). I know next to nothing about what makes a quality vid, but this particular one never fails to make me choke up. Beware of major series spoilers.

Anyone interested in the series should join jdramas and look for "BISHOJO SENSHI SAILOR MOON" in the tags.

Avatar: The Last Airbender -- Vid Rec and Fic

The first thing I have is a vid rec:

Bad Reputation.

It's a fanvid to Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" featuring some of the great female characters from Avatar, described by the creator as "Half action, half character profile, half lip-synching." It's very funny and well-done in my opinion, including which verses were matched up to which characters.
