halfamoon, at first I was boggled by the idea of only picking a *few* characters to represent all of the awesome female characters we love in fandom. How impossible is that!? Whoever I picked, I knew I would be leaving out huge swaths of fandom! Anyway, what I eventually decided was to organize the layout, very roughly, in terms of the theme Mind, Body and Spirit.
For Mind, we have three doctors; Dana Scully, Cristina Yang and Lisa Cuddy.
For Body we have three warriors; Leia Organa, Kara Thrace and Zoe Washburne.
For Spirit we have three mystics; Delenn, Minerva McGonagall and Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan.
Finally, I added three younger characters who represent the next generation of awesome heroines: Martha Jones, Veronica Mars and Claire Bennet.
And here are four icons, which are multi-shareable.
(For most of my icon sets, including the icons I'll be posting on this comm for the next two weeks, I go on a "first come, first served" basis, with icons being claimable by one person only, but I would love for these icons to be used by as many people as possible, in order to promote halfamoon! So if you like them, please take them. Please also feel free to make your own icons from the base manips, if you'd like.)
