I was a little unsure if I would be able to convey all the senses through graphics (especially smell), but I think I succeeded. 5 wallpapers of touch, smell, taste, sight and sound each. For taste, I already did my favorite food scene for the theme food, so this is my second favorite scene, hehehe.

There is only one season in this fandom, summer (the entirety of it is set between June and September), so I went meta and made one picspam per season of the show. There are only two seasons (unfortunately), but well, here you go, two picspams each with one picture per episode of the season. I went with pictures that can represent best what (most of) the episode is about. This is subjective, of course, but I tried to choose representative scenes rather than my favorite scenes.

A little late, but this post is all about Liz from Roswell New Mexico! First, icons I made this past year:

scintilla10 for the prompt: science! I love that the show is very consistent about Liz's science passion. Liz has the drive to continually make scientific discoveries and push her knowledge forward, and this ambition sometimes gets her into trouble when she uses alien DNA without permission. Her passion for scientific discovery is often at odds with her passion for Max Evans, and sometimes she does choose the science - by avoiding his questions, or by deliberately hiding what she's up to. This is because of what the science symbolizes for Liz.

Science as a discipline is supposed to be methodical, reliable, and rational. She can dive into an experiment, feel completely in her element, and forget all about her personal life. She can always learn something new, even when experiments go wrong or she calculates something incorrectly. Her time is never wasted because her work is always going to be important. Science is also a means of escape for her. She worked her whole life to get good grades and get into a great school and master's program - so that she could land a meaningful research project (and be gainfully employed outside of Roswell). Science gave her a future she might not have had otherwise. People disappoint Liz, but the science never does. That's why it's so hard for her to put her work down - it's a big part of who she is.

One of my favorite scenes in Warrior Nun is in the pilot and it's the main character, Ava, just stuffing her face with food now that she's able to eat on her own and choose her own food for the first time in 12 years (she was quadriplegic and in an orphanage where the nuns didn't give a shit about her). It's an amazing scene and Alba is fantastic in it. I've made a lot of graphics for it already, but apparently not a wallpaper yet, so I amended that.

Theme: Day 6: Secrets and/or Lies

Note: SPOILERS for BtVS S6 ahead
I believe that Season 6 of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” could be the one that best represents this theme. Everyone is keeping secrets, and everyone is lying about something... and there’s always someone paying the consequences.
I also think that the biggest secret/lie is the one that Buffy keeps/tells to her friends: the fact that she was in heaven but tells them that they pulled her out of a hell dimension.
So I picked two episodes that represent Buffy’s confession to the audience through Spike (banner), and Buffy’s revelation to everyone through Sweet’s spell (icons).
There are also other secrets/lies that are discovered during this episode (Willow using a mind-altering spell on Tara; Xander and Anya’s doubts about their upcoming married life) or will be discovered later (Dawn’s kleptomania).
More secrets and lies will pile up after this episode, but I had to make a choice. Also, I didn’t have time to adjust the coloring... so some icons are a bit off. Sorry about that!

Warrior Nun is to such extent based on secrets and lies that it actually made it harder for me to do something for this theme because I couldn't decide what. I would love to write meta about all the convoluted secrets and lies in the first season alone but then the second season too. But I feel like it would literally never end and I would feel bad leaving something out. Then I thought about writing a new chapter for my time travel fic and got 300 words in but then gave up because, honestly, I'm just not feeling it right now, my brain is still too focused on my big epic fic. So I ended up making one wallpaper. Well, better than nothing, right?

I wanted to make a mood theme for Warrior Nun for a while now, so this was a good incentive to get going with that. A few of these I have made before, but never posted anywhere, so they're all new in that sense. I have the ambition to make a whole mood with all nine of my blorbos being featured evenly (well, okay, Shannon gets half of what the others get, since she's in exactly four scenes) and then maybe some group ones. So, here is the first sample of that, ten individual moods.

Isobel Evans is the perfect character to talk about for the Moods theme, because she's an empath! She discovers this particular ability during season three, when the Alien known as "Mr. Jones" tells her that she shares this trait with her mother. I wrote a bit of meta about this ability but first, these are all the Isobel icons I made over the past year.

Ryan's Hope is an old show (soap!) most people have forgotten about or never heard of, but I've been watching it on Youtube of late, and I really enjoy it. There were some very colorful female characters on the series: complex, determined, passionate women. A young Kate Mulgrew as Mary Ryan was a particular shining star!

Same as with Blood, Sweat and Tears, books are also found very prominently in Warrior Nun, often used for exposition or to move the plot along (or hinder it, grumbling in 'how hard is it to name names in your secret diary?') and I have also made many graphics with them before. But since there's a precedence now of me both making new things and reccing my own things, I decided to do the same again. So I made two new wallpapers and am also posting 6 bookmarks, 7 tumblr graphics and 1 wallpaper I've made before.

One of the reasons I love Warrior Nun so much is that when the female characters are going through it (and they do) it shows. They're bloody, sweaty, teary, all of it. And it's glorious. The reason I am late with this is because since I do like this so much, I already made most of my favorite scenes in which bloody, teary, sweaty female characters are featured heavily and wasn't sure whether I wanted to rec instead of making something. In the end, I did neither yesterday because I posted the first chapter of my epic fic and couldn't concentrate on anything else afterwards, lol. But today I decided to do both, make a new wallpaper of a scene I love that I hadn't made much of before (because frankly, there aren't great screenshots of it, but I made it work) and I am also reccing the things I made before because I love them.

So, here is one new wallpaper and also 7 icons, 5 wallpapers and 3 picspams.
