Note: SPOILERS for BtVS S6 ahead
I believe that Season 6 of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” could be the one that best represents this theme. Everyone is keeping secrets, and everyone is lying about something... and there’s always someone paying the consequences.
I also think that the biggest secret/lie is the one that Buffy keeps/tells to her friends: the fact that she was in heaven but tells them that they pulled her out of a hell dimension.
So I picked two episodes that represent Buffy’s confession to the audience through Spike (banner), and Buffy’s revelation to everyone through Sweet’s spell (icons).
There are also other secrets/lies that are discovered during this episode (Willow using a mind-altering spell on Tara; Xander and Anya’s doubts about their upcoming married life) or will be discovered later (Dawn’s kleptomania).
More secrets and lies will pile up after this episode, but I had to make a choice. Also, I didn’t have time to adjust the coloring... so some icons are a bit off. Sorry about that!

Lovely choices and coloring! This will always be my, hands-down, favorite episode! The cast did so amazingly well with all their songs, just proving yet again how truly talented they all were/are!

Oh, I agree! OMWF is one of my go-to comfort episodes. I know all the songs and dialog lines by heart but I'll never get tired to rewatch it. ♥️

I can't say I know it THAT well (hardly ever get to rewatch the episodes), but I WILL ALWAYS remember and feel the way about Spike's rock ballad as I did the very first time seeing James strut across that stage in such savage beauty. <3 Bear in mind my top favorite male artists will always be David Bowie (my King <3), Adam Ant, and Billy Idol, so that particular routine was just... SO FREAKING AWESOME in SO MANY WAYS for me!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3

No worries, I think plenty of time has passed! I wasn't concerned about spoilers, I was more thinking that it would be so hard to keep something like that secret! That probably set up some great conflict in the show.
