A couple of BSG recs, plus one community/ficathon rec

First off I'd recommend checking out galpalficathon: I Will Not Be Afraid of Women: A Female Friendships Ficathon. It ran a couple of months ago, and produced some excellent female character centered fic.

My favorite fic from that batch was Latter Days by pellucid(Laura Roslin, Anastasia Dualla).

On the topic of BSG:

Fic Recs: Door of Neverwhere, Susan Pevensie of Narnia

I have two lovely, bittersweet fic recs written from the POV of two older sisters.

Time and Again by apathy, written for me for Yuletide 2005, about Door and Ingress from Neverwhere
Door wanders along, content to listen to Ingress babbling as she investigates this shiny piece of jewellery, or that particularly fatal vial of poison. The words tumble out of her mouth, childish, carefree, like a stream over rocks, meandering and nonsensical to all observers.

And on the boat Susan dreams of incense and green silk and always music in the background.

I just stumbled across meretricula's "Really Awkward Adulterous Lesbian Sex Is Still Better Than No Sex At All" over at Yuletide while looking up something else, and I am blown away. It's needle-sharp and wry and honest and heartbreaking, and it makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time. ( compulsive spoiler-cut for Twelfth Night )

Two fics: DCU and Doctor Who/Torchwood

Timeline: I have no idea when this takes place. References to Maxwell Lord, but nothing overt, so I guess after that whole oh noes! OMACS! thing before Infinite Crisis.
Summary: She wants whatever Diana is making, and so she doesn't stop her then and there, set down the whisk and the rolling pin and pull the little towel from her shoulder and lay her out on the sofa. Besides, she did that last night, and Lois only allows herself one bold moment with Diana every twenty-four hours. It assures her that she doesn't make an ass out of herself.

This second one is narrated in parts by males, but it's really all about the women anyway:
