Oh, the whole mood was really serious and realistic from the beginning.

"She wanted them to be right. She wanted to do this but the fear resided next to hope inside her." — somewhere around those lines these feelings really became something familiar, and I thought that the one who wrote it knows exactly what it is like. To feel that fear and reluctance.

The letter seems to be an important item in this fic. It's a symbol important for multiple characters, really touching how it was a leap of faith to write it and how Emily, after her own physical leap succeeded, seems to have her hope recindled in that it won't be for nothing to deliver it. By the way, there really are many characters interacting.
