As she polished the last bits of dirt off her alchemy tools, Renge looked at her shelves with a renewed sense of pride. Thankfully nothing looked to be broken too.
It was hard, losing her confidence as an alchemist for a while. When Minato-sensei took off to work on Geryon’s side, and the academy was closed off, things had felt hopeless.
But she was glad that her pride as an alchemist had returned. Together she trained with Sabi, and had become a damn good fighter if she’d say so herself. Being able to hold her own with the combat alchemy she had practiced.
This was a Naniwa gal ya couldn’t mess with!
Renge was also relieved that she got her tools out of the trash in time, and had avoided the fate of them being destroyed in a dump somewhere. She had spent her hard earned money on these after all. While they could have easily been replaced, the memories she conjured with them over the years— those were another story.
Things were looking up now. While the battle and hunt for chemies was far from over, she had a dream. And she was going to make it a reality!
