I had such plans for this challenge, but life had other ideas. At least I could squeeze this one in.
It has been a blast reading everyone's entries.
Title: In the Leaves
Fandom: Supernatural
Female Character: Rowena MacLeod
Rating: Teen
Summary: Rowena bides her time against the inevitable.
A/N: Also written for the prompt "leaves."
Rowena seethed. This was so beneath her. Luckily, she could multitask, keep the rage and injustice bubbling on the inside, while she wore an invested smile on the outside. The neon purple divination sign was not complimentary to her complexion, but the dark hole she were stuck in for the time being was paying the bills. She could bide her time and wait. She would be on top again.
In the meantime, she made a show of preparing to read the tea leaves of the bland woman in front of her. Rowena would tell her lies of romance with a handsome stranger. In reality, the leaves would say the same thing they had for the last fifty seven readings she'd done - Rowena's own future, a warning. Something was coming; something full of as much anger and fury as Rowena herself.
She didn't need powers to know Sam Winchester was on her trail. It didn't matter that she'd done him a favor. Some people were just never grateful.
He was lucky she'd been there to pick up the pieces of Winchester Brothers, literally and figuratively. She gave him life, power, and he'd never be without Dean again. You'd think that would have been have granted her some goodwill. But no, all he could focus on was what he'd lost, like it was her fault there were only enough bits to put one of them back together.
