Author: one_step_closer_to_death
Fandom: DCU (Comics)
Fanwork type: FIC
Pairings/Characters: Cassandra Cain/Rose Wilson
Rating: Teen
Words: 1778
Summary: But then Rose Wilson touches her like she’s human and suddenly the cowl was just another mask, and she didn’t feel like a myth as much as just a girl. She was, all of a sudden, something soft, something melting, something that was wanting and solely at the mercy of Rose Wilson’s hands. Her name was no longer a placeholder for Batman, but rather a prayer that she had no choice but to answer. // Cassandra Cain has been Batman for years. Rose Wilson is the new Deathstroke, high off the murder of the last one.
Reccer's Notes: I specifically chose this fic for this day because ... the Batman universe often demands a harsh Black/White view of morality, and the character of Cassandra Cain has suffered from that from certain writers. This fic gives both Cass and Rose (and Tara, briefly) the freedom to exist in a shade of grey that canon would deny them, and they are happier for it.
