Women are often seen as natural caregivers. Some characters excel at this, others fail, and others fall somewhere in the middle.

Here are some ideas to get you started: caring for a sick child, looking after a parent or an elderly neighbor, self-care, taking care of a pet or watering someone’s plants while they’re away, medical professionals, giving her best friend a shoulder to cry on, or, conversely, wanting to run away when it all gets to be too much or explaining why they shouldn’t have kids
