Reccer's Notes: This fic does a great job of depicting PTSD and grief that just won't leave, which is exactly what Collins did such a good job showing with the book version of Katniss. In this fic's a/u, things are even worse for Katniss (and Finnick), but the author allows them to reach a hopeful conclusion without ever downplaying the trauma and hurt that Katniss is feeling. It's a very organic look at all-consuming, agonizing grief.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I only got around to reading the Hunger Games books properly this past year, and Katniss marched her way towards the very top of my list of favorite female characters.
