I have to admit that I'm surprised you're such a Game of Thrones fan. I have tried SO many times to get into that show for my husband (it's one of his favorites from long before we met), but I just can NOT get pass the non-con and senseless amount of nudity and sex. Any suggestions?

Fast forwarding is always an option and the gratuitous sex does seem to calm down in later seasons (replaced by gratuitous violence). Maybe just watch the Jon Snow scenes. He's a good character and he's celibate for most of the show. Arya's also a good one to watch, but she's got the gratuitous violence going for her in later years.

I don't mind the violence at all, oddly enough. I guess falling for the boys in Supernatural got me to where I didn't mind violence, but they had me hooked on the characters before I ever got into the scenes that were so violent that they would have conflicted me previously.

Hmm. There's a thought: watch it, fast forwarding, until I can get hooked on the characters, then try again to watch it with him.
