There's a reason why so many medical shows are on the air for years and years. We have a fascination with life and death and the people that hold it in their hands. How do they deal with the stress and the day-to-day bureaucratic struggles? What brought them into this profession in the first place? Perhaps your character needs healing from something that isn't physical. How does your character handle being sick- do they self medicate or go to a doctor?
