“It's not Batman. It's Batwoman. Kate Kane. Bruce Wayne's lesbian cousin. How do you not know this?”
“I stopped reading comics after grade school. Maybe I should have kept it up. Did you have a good time at the party?”
“I did. Danced with Kate.”
“Oh.”
“She was dressed as Catwoman. How am I going to resist that?”
“You couldn't.”
“Well, maybe if a certain best friend of mine had shown up, I might have been able to.”
“Even with no leather or latex in sight?”
“Hmm.”
“What are you doing?”
“Picturing you in that leather mini-skirt you wore in high school.”
“You remember that?”
“It was my go-to fantasy for years. You looking every bit of a bad girl.”
“Did those comics ever teach you how Batwoman restrains her nemeses?”
“I'm sure I could look it up.”
“Or maybe just get the handcuffs from the nightstand and play it by ear?”
“I could do that too.”
