Against her will, they'd dragged her back across the border, to a place where she had no desire to return, a place of violence and pain, of loss and fear. She hurt all the time in this place, the things she once had here, the things she'd left behind, she didn't want them anymore.
Not when she'd been someplace where she felt loved and cherished, where running and fighting and being scared all of the time were things of the past.
They- her friends- had taken her away from all that and there was a part of her that would always resent them for it. At the heart of Buffy Summers' every waking moment in this ever-present nightmare was one constant and persistent question- would she ever be able to cross that border again?
