SFF comics to read for strong women

hossgal gave me the idea by posting a list of her recs for SFF books that are largely female-centric or feature strong female characters.  Being a comic book person myself (in addition to books!), I thought I'd go with imitation being the most sincere form of flattery and do a post listing the comic titles I read at least partially because of their female characters.

 

Due to my own inclinations, much of this will be in the superhero genre, but not quite all.  Please feel free to add more to the list in the comments, either here or at my own journal!
