I just really wanted to rec this, and strangely, it is a bit about balance.
Little Women, Jo/OFC, an actually really well-balanced fic where it's totally believable to me that this character is Jo's classmate. Stealth crossover with Hamlet.
It's from Yuletide so maybe everyone's already seen it, but I love this. (Sorry that my posts really lack structure. I'm just...permanently tired).
