Title: Playing Tetris With The Fourth Wall
Paula still wasn't sure she should have stolen a Phase Distorter. That was more a Pokey thing to do. She couldn't think of any other way to reach that girl, though, the one with the sad voice. She still didn't really understand anything about the other girl except that she was a very long way away, like, the same distance again from the nightmare realm where Giygas had existed as that dimension had been from the Earth. She was also desperately lonely and homesick. Paula had a vague idea that the world she lived in was not a nice place in a lot of ways. There were lots of things wrong with it and there weren't psychic kids to save it. Maybe it'd already been taken over by Giygas? There'd been so much silence there, like the music in the sky was gone. Anyway, Paula couldn't just leave the other girl behind without repaying her after she'd somehow saved them all. She'd been praying along with them, her soul like a blazing beacon next to the nearly extinguished candle of Paula's spirit but somehow a different power to her own, a weird, distant, almost alien power. Her mind had been that of a regular girl, though. Maybe she was just a lot closer to whatever or whoever it was they were all actually praying to? Paula shuddered at that last thought; whoever it was, she probably didn't want to be caught by them stealing a Phase Distorter, or bringing people out of distant times and places. So she wouldn't get caught
