Work and Play: Sofie Bojakshiya (Carnivale)

All right, I was super late to the Carnivale party because I wasn't sure how it'd interact with some of my brain stuff. I almost missed the boat! This is an older canon and it was canceled. I have so many feelings about this canon. It's one of the most honest portrayals of disability I've seen in a visual canon (movies or TV). It's not inspiration porn. (What's Inspiration Porn? Well, you probably have an idea, but Stella Young has a great TED Talk on it that's one of the only TED Talks I endorse...if you'd like to find that, in Stella's honor.)

I just. I freaking love it so much and Sofie is my favorite character.

If you know things about Sofie's arc you might scratch your head and ask why... well... It's complicated. :) The show's complicated, the mythology is rich, and basically you should meet Sofie.

Soooo, I might just start watching Carnivale tomorrow. ❤ (I totally would start today, but it's pretty late in my timezone and I'm going to sleep.) And I'm marking the first fic for later even thought I don't even know the fandom, lol, because it sounds so perfect. I'm just so hyped up now and it's thanks to you. :D
