Seanan Mcguire is a fantasy/sf writer under both her name and as Mira Grant (Feed was my favorite book of 2010) as well as a filker.  Filk, for those who don't know, is the music of SF/F fandom.  (kind of fanfic with a melody)

Her song Wicked Girls is, well, it's brilliant is what it is.  I love this entire  song like whoa but my favorite verse is the one dealing with Susan and Lucy Pevensie. Okay, second favorite next to the one ending "be wicked and lovely and don't live in fear".

I'm not sure which convention this was shot at but a couple hundred of the youtube viewings are mine...

I am so glad someone posted this wonderful, wonderful song!
The lyrics to Wicked Girls may be found here, http://seananmcguire.com/songbook.php?id=238

The refrain is a wonderful anthem,

Dorothy, Alice and Wendy and Jane,
Susan and Lucy, we're calling your names,
All the Lost Girls who came out of the rain
And chose to go back on the shelf.
Tinker Bell says, and I find I agree
You have to break rules if you want to break free.
So do as you like -- we're determined to be
Wicked girls saving ourselves.

Seanan is an awesome singer and an incredible person. She makes ADD work for her in a big way. If you get a chance to meet her in person, drink lots of caffeine and enjoy the ride. She's a hoot.

Thank you for posting this. What a great song, and I love the performance, too.

I used to enjoy filk, though I've since drifted out of touch with the main communities, so it was lovely to hear a new performance (now off to track down some more *g*)
