Love this. I never saw the BBC adaptation, but Jill is my favourite character in the Narniaverse and this is a great tribute to her. Also great song choice! :D

She and Aravis are my favourites. IMO the strongest women in the verse :D

I'm soooo eagerly awaiting the film. If it even gets made! They're waiting to decide after the revenue of Dawn Treader comes in. Eek! And then it's a toss up between Silver Chair and Magician's Nephew (luckily I love MN too, but still :( )

I must say, I'm fiercely shipping Jill/Rillian atm, for some reason. When I first read the book I loved Jill/Eustace, so I must write a fic where I tie both in. But alas, my copy of SC is far from here! I'll have to guess how she talks :S

This is just me rambling of course.

Do love some Marina of an evening :D Thanks for the song rec too!

...I guess. I have a real problem with how Lewis treats them though. I will never forgive him for what he did to Susan. Also, his whole attitude is kinda wierd - women are only good if they remain tomboyish and innocent. But if they grow up and discover their feminity and sexuality, like Susan, they are banned from Narnia. Hmmm.

My mum ranted far too much about this to me when I was little, feminist that she is!

Me too! Omg he did such a good job :D I love him in School of Comedy - have you seen it?

Oh I adore how they interact. That's what I love about these two characters, they're the realest of all of the Narnia children, edgy and hard. So my fic, just a twinkle in my eye at the moment, is going to be mostly Jill as a young woman returning to Narnia through dreams and falling in love with Rillian. But in the end she has to face up to her real life and feelings for Eustace. (This is as though The Last Battle didn't happen cos I hate that book.)

Atm I'm writing a Jenny Calendar (Buffy) fic, then it's Illyria/Spike, THEN I'll do this. Or maybe this before I/S. But it's going to be looong so :S

Oh, Jill. She's totally my favorite Narnia girl too, and it's fantastic to see something centered on her. (And I loved this movie growing up - rubber snake and all!)
