In the spirit of the wonderful idea already promoted by some of my peers, I would very much like to contribute by offering drabbles on prompts/requests. Therefore, kindly comment here with:

 

character + prompt + rating
(where "prompt" can be anything from lyrics to a song, and from a colour to a figure)

 

and I'll try my best to reply in comments.

Drabbles will be between 100 and 500 words.

The available fandoms to choose from are:

Merlin, Torchwood, Gilmore Girls (seasons 1-3), BSG (seasons 1-3), Prison Break (season 1), Veronica Mars (season 1), Lost (seasons 1-3), Legend of the Seeker (season 1), Robin Hood (season 1), The Tudors (season 1), Glee, The Southern Vampires (books 1-8), ASOIAF, Kushiel's Legacy, Harry Potter, LOTR, His Dark Materials, mythology (basically Celtic and Greek), fairy tales, Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Claymore (only the anime), RPF (you can check my list of favourite actresses in my introduction post at my journal).

Knowing you’re different is always a burden – Lane Kim has learned it the hard way.

“I could have had it harder”, she thinks. When she was younger she often pitied the average teenage girls around her; they fancied the lead guitar player, she was the odd one who was secretly dreaming of the drummer.

She lost friends, she gained friends, and she thought she had lost her family but gained it back through building a family of her own.

There was one thing she never stopped doing, though: dreaming. Eyes wide open, she stared into the future, and never blinked.

Yes, Lane is one of my favorite characters as well. I always wondered why doesn't she get more appreciation.
