St. Trinian's is a film that came out in the UK in 2007. It's actually the sixth film to take place at St. Trinian's School for Young Ladies, but this is a reboot of the franchise. St Trinian's is made of awesome and more awesome. Also it is kinda cheesy, but in an awesome way.
Basic plot summary: To keep the bank from repossessing the school the student body comes up with a plan to steal the 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' painting so they can sell it and pay off the creditors.

Welcome to St. Trinian's School for Young Ladies. Regardless of problems you may have encountered at other schools St. Trinian's will embrace you fully. Here at St. Trinian's the girls are encouraged to take control of their education and self-expression.

The staff is hard working and dedicated.

The Headmistress makes sure to fully support her girls in all their endeavours. Whether it's a victory on the hockey field, getting to the finals of School Challenge, or a plan to steal a famous painting.

You'll find Miss Fritton along for the ride offering support and advice, but without stifling the girls creativity.
St. Trinian's has, like most places with a diverse group of individuals, created a number of social groups among the students.
These can roughly be broken down into:

Now of course not everybody fits into these groups, but as long as a girl is confident in herself she'll find a place at St. Trinian's.

Kelly, the Head Girl, makes sure to welcome all of the new students.

Such as Annabelle

and once they've settled she'll do her best to help them fit in.

The girls of St. Trinian's are well known for their ingenuity and good business sense. The local connection to the "underground" business world is Flash.

Whether it's finding a venue for the First Year's vodka distillery or learning the ins and outs of alternative business practices, Flash can you help out.
Yes, at St. Trinian's you'll find all sorts of projects and activities going on. Regardless of personal differences though the girls always make a point to support each other.

At St. Trinian's the entire school knows how to pull together in trying times.

Date: 2010-02-03 12:59 am (UTC)I love St Trinians. I wrote a rec for it myself for another comm actually, quite recently (not sure if it's been posted yet).
I've never read any fanfic for it though (or seen any icons) - hope your pimping leads to some! :)
