Oh, god, I love this movie! If you want a movie which defines sticking together through thick and through thin, this is definitely one of those. And it may well have you questioning your moral stance. They're on the run because they committed a crime, but technically when it was done they were no longer in danger. They could have just walked away. But the emotion of the situation got the better of things. The situation is made even worse by them then going on the run. Thelma does want to go to the police but Louise tells her "we don't live in that sort of a world". And, sadly, we don't. And I don't know about anyone else but I was sure as hell rooting for them. I also really like how they go through personality switches, with one starting to find the situation too overwhelming so the other decides they have to be the strong one. And I still cry at the end. Every time.
Warning: Image heavy. Spoilers for the movie.
(You know, the one thing I can't figure out are these girls real smart or real real lucky?...)
