_______________
She thought of Dana a lot when she was travelling. Hitchhiking round Europe the memories of home that she replayed most fondly were of her and Dana when they were younger, closer. Surrounded by the beauty of Vienna, the canals of Venice, the magnitude of Notre Dame, she found herself wishing that Dana were with her. Dana would appreciate the beauty, the history, the culture of the places she travelled through far better than she could, she acknowledges that. Scientist Dana may be, rational sceptic, but not far under the surface she burns with an intensity that few people see. Dana would soak up the experiences of Europe, dissect them and study them, and be a better for it. Missy, well, she's better at soaking up the men.
She thinks of her sister's vibrancy as she moves her hand over the bed. Dana had been with her when she travelled Europe, pointing out the restoration work in Notre Dame, the location of Hitler's speeches in Germany. Dana had been with her, in spirit, at her lowest ebbs, when the cities she travelled through and the people she met were unwelcoming and alien. It's only right that she be here with Dana now.
Melissa looks up as Fox - Mulder - walks into the room. Dana was right, she thinks as she glances at him, he's not that bad looking at all. Maybe he'll be the one his sister comes back for.
"I've been told not to call you Fox," she says, and hopes that her feelings about this one are right.
