halfamoonFirst character who came to my mind for "The Scholar" prompt was Sam Carter who's saved her team plenty of times with her scientific knowledge. She's cool and competent at what she does!

Sam's favorite part of her job is the science.
How many astrophysicists get a chance to study stellar phenomena this closely?
Since joining the SGC, it feels like her mind is whirring with new theories each week. They're always running into things that test the limits of human understanding.
“Sam, can you help with my homework?”
She looks up to find Cassie lingering in the doorway, textbook in hand.
“Of course.”
But no matter how much Sam loves her work, it's nice to take a break and get back to the basics: helping a young friend with fractions and decimals.
In my head, there was backstory about how Cassie asked Sam for homework help because Janet was busy treating SG-3 who came back from offworld with a mysterious blue rash.
But obviously I could not fit that in the drabble 😂
