Day 5: Fic - Star Trek Voyager - B'Elanna
Feb. 5th, 2026 09:53 pmB'Elanna might be my favorite character ever, and I'm always very interested in her pre-canon days as a fighter in the Maquis. A good way to cope with all her anger? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, it fit perfectly for "The Outlaw" prompt.
Title: Hitting back
Fandom: Star Trek Voyager
Character: B'Elanna Torres
Rating: G
Length: 150 words
Summary: B'Elanna loves having a reason to fight now
Link: here on ao3 or you can read it under the cut below
B'Elanna opens a wall panel in this makeshift Cardassian command post and rips out all the important pieces as fast as possible. Just enough that these scumbags will be making repairs for ages. She's good at buying time when Chakotay and the others need it.
Once she's satisfied that she's scrambled enough of the circuitry, she hightails it out of there before she can get caught.
Though she wouldn't mind the opportunity to break a few noses today if it materialized in front of her.
B'Elanna's never felt more alive since she joined the Maquis. Every day, Chakotay throws them into a situation that gets her blood pumping. It feels good to have a reason to fight now.
She's helping people this way.
In the distance, B'Elanna hears the outraged yells of idiots who've just discovered her handiwork, and she laughs just as the transporter carries her back to safety.
