Summary: Lachesis and Kyoka cook together.

Lachesis walked back into the kitchen, groceries in hand to smell the aroma of onions coming from the kitchen.
Scent was something else interesting about human life. Lachesis homunculus body could smell before, though the ability wasn’t very strong. And why should it have been? There was no need for her to enjoy scents. Much more important matters were at hand…
That was the Lachesis of old. Things were different now.
She had walked down a path that lead to her freedom. And in turn, her ability to smell grew stronger as the days passed by. With that she had also slowly gained an appreciation for this sense, and how it was a part of a human life.
Lachesis looked over to see Kyoka chopping away in the kitchen. Surprised it wasn’t Spanner who was the one prepping to cook.
“What are you cooking, Kyoka-san?”
“Ah Lache-chan!” Kyoka put down the knife and looked up to her girlfriend. “Just in time. I’m gonna make a stir fry today.”
Lachesis smirked. “Don’t tell me it’ll have tons of coriander in it.”
“Only a little bit.” Kyoka winked.
Both of their standards of what “a little bit” was when it came to coriander were vastly different. Thankfully Lachesis had been spared of the soap gene as her genetic makeup had changed.
Lachesis put away the groceries and laid against the fridge with her arms crossed. “I presume you’d like some help with that.”
“Well, it sure would be nice.” She grinned as she pulled out some seasonings.
To tease, Lachesis audibly hummed. “Hmm… Perhaps I can end up being of assistance.”
Kyoka walked over and gave Lachesis a quick peck on the cheek. “Much appreciated.”
Lachesis was given the duty to prepare the rest of the vegetables. Her previous experience with a blade proved to be quite useful for cutting food in the kitchen. Having preformed many deliberate and aimed strikes in the past. It transferred quite well to using a knife like this.
Meanwhile Kyoka got out the meat and began to prepare the marinade.
As the day went on and the meat started to cook, the entire kitchen was full of a delicious aroma once more.
“Ooh this is gonna taste so good!” Kyoka hummed, tossing the vegetables in with the meat. As they coated in the sauce Lachesis felt her stomach begin to grumble.
If she could feel hunger like this… She was definitely becoming more human.
Once it was time to eat, the spread across the table looked delicious. And of course a bowl of coriander was placed right next to Kyoka’s plate.
“Thank you for the meal.” Lachesis said before taking a bite. Making sure to get a good mixture of meat and vegetables.
“Hows it taste?” The way Kyoka’s eyes sparked made Lachesis’ heart melt.
She smiles. “It’s good.” Spanner’s cooking was always well made, but it was nice to have something not purple for a change. And making this meal with her girlfriend made it even better.
A wonderful memory for the two of them to share together.
