Title: Innocent
Fandom: Suikoden III
Character(s): Yun, Yuiri, & Wyatt
Rating: G
Summary: Yun can tell when someone is coming to visit their village.
Yun, who had previously been sitting quietly, jumped up and ran toward the edge of the village. "Oh!" she exclaimed, "Mr. Wyatt!"
None of her sisters questioned her abilities. She had been born that way - with the gift of second sight. At this point, Yuiri alone knew where it would eventually lead (though some of the older girls had their suspicions).
Wyatt's large form broke through the bushes, "Oh!" He sounded mildly surprised. "It's Yuiri! And little Yun!" He scooped her up and she laughed. After continuing on into the village and exchanging some pleasantries with Yuiri, he set Yun on his knee. "So, did you know I was coming ahead of time? The same as last time?"
She nodded. "Actually, I was meaning to ask you-" she began. (Wyatt nodded in turn) "Why did you leave your daughter behind? She looks like you, so beautiful and pale."
It hadn't occurred to him that Yun would know about his daughter back in Zexen. He should have realized. "Well," he considered the matter, "I'm on the run from an organization from Harmonia and I was worried if I stayed in any place too long they might realize I was 'me.' Not some anonymous Zexen knight like my daughter thought I was."
"Oh, that would've been bad," she agreed. She wasn't sure he would appreciate learning that his supposed death had become the circumstance of his wife's death. She patted his arm instead. "Your daughter has already graduated from the Zexen Knights Academy," she offered.
"So young!" Wyatt replied.
"Probably not so young as you're thinking of her as. She was young for a graduate, two years ago. But she is all of eighteen now." Yun tilted her head up at him.
Wyatt inhaled, taking in this information. "I guess I really did lose track of time...!"
She patted his thick arm, "It's not a bad thing, Mr. Wyatt."
He had a feeling with what he knew of her future, she would never lose track of time. She would regard each moment as precious.
