Loved Rose. Yeah, she didn't stick around, she's a really old vampire who's been on the run for five centuries. People who are survivors in that way? Not so big on the self-sacrificing. She's a vampire who acts like a vampire.
She isn't tortured and gloomy, she isn't a ruthless killing machine, she protects the people she loves and she survives at all costs.
She has faith in herself and that is largely enough for her.
