My comment to Alara above was to do with the difference between having something as a main focus and as a secondary focus or background in a story--for example, secondary m/m relationships in a story that's primarily focused on a woman are okay here too--and that's why I explained in my first comment to you that the difficulty with your story is that girl!Spock is one of the main characters in it, not a secondary or background character.
What I said with regard to potential co-opting was intended to explain one possible interpretation of stories with genderswitched characters that was of concern in the context of this challenge, and I respect that you disagree with that interpretation as the exact opposite of your authorial intention when you write genderswap. However, I don't want to discuss it further here because this community isn't the place for that debate. What I should have said in my earlier comment to you was simply this: as the FAQ states, the purpose of halfamoon is to celebrate female characters in fandom who identify as female in canon.
