Many of you probably know Mulan from the animated Disney movie. Another movie about Hua Mulan was released in 2009, this one a Chinese live-action version. I loved it to bits.

I am not certain what the usual online sources are but I am going to put in all effort to find out! =DD I love Mulan. I love her alot. I have seen the animated version approximately 50 billion times and this looks like it might be even MORE EXCELLENT. Beautiful picspam.

I adore Disney's Mulan, so I was super excited to find out about the new movie.

The movie isn't perfect--and there's a thread of "nation over person" that might disturb some people--but I loved it all the same.

My daughter and I were just talkign about the Disney version the other day and decided it is NOT SHOWN ENOUGH!

Mulan is fabulous wherever she shows up :)

I hope you enjoy the movie once you get the chance to see it. It's completely different from the Disney version--I watched the two movies back to back, which was an odd experience.

Beautiful picspam, gives a nice overview of what the character goes through in the film, shows off the lovely actress and how gorgeous the film is at some points. (It came out on DVD in the UK recently, which reminded me I'd saved a link to this somewhere.)
