(fic prompts) offer
In the spirit of the wonderful idea already promoted by some of my peers, I would very much like to contribute by offering drabbles on prompts/requests. Therefore, kindly comment here with:
character + prompt + rating
(where "prompt" can be anything from lyrics to a song, and from a colour to a figure)

Drabbles will be between 100 and 500 words.

Merlin, Torchwood, Gilmore Girls (seasons 1-3), BSG (seasons 1-3), Prison Break (season 1), Veronica Mars (season 1), Lost (seasons 1-3), Legend of the Seeker (season 1), Robin Hood (season 1), The Tudors (season 1), Glee, The Southern Vampires (books 1-8), ASOIAF, Kushiel's Legacy, Harry Potter, LOTR, His Dark Materials, mythology (basically Celtic and Greek), fairy tales, Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Claymore (only the anime), RPF (you can check my list of favourite actresses in my introduction post at my journal).

Lane Kim (Gilmore Girls) – dreams
100 words, G
Knowing you’re different is always a burden – Lane Kim has learned it the hard way.
“I could have had it harder”, she thinks. When she was younger she often pitied the average teenage girls around her; they fancied the lead guitar player, she was the odd one who was secretly dreaming of the drummer.
She lost friends, she gained friends, and she thought she had lost her family but gained it back through building a family of her own.
There was one thing she never stopped doing, though: dreaming. Eyes wide open, she stared into the future, and never blinked.

Yes, Lane is one of my favorite characters as well. I always wondered why doesn't she get more appreciation.

Robin Hood: Marian – woman in a men’s world

At times Marian wonders – what’s the difference, after all?
She can wear their clothes; they’re more comfortable, though time and again she enjoys feeling pampered in a soft gown.
She can use their weapons, and quite skillfully. There are many stories that stand witness for that, and many those who tell them.
And then, where’s the catch?
Enlightenment comes when she realizes she can’t wear that look in her eyes, the look that speaks of owning and possession; a look that has made them the winners of the game.
It’s a men’s world, and she doesn’t want to be one.

Kahlan Amnell (LoTS) – little acts of rebellion

“No.”
“Excuse me?”
“I simply said no.”
“Kahlan, eat the apple. I can sound threatening if I want.”
“No. I won’t eat it. Apples are sour; they make my lips purse.”
“You’re pretty with your lips pursed.”
“You make an exquisite dolt, Richard Cypher.”
“You’re sick. You need to chew this.” Richard shrugs. “Zedd said so.”
Kahlan glares at him, her eyes widened by fever. “If you think that passing the blame will help, keep trying.”
“Pigheaded woman.”
“Dolt.”
“You also lack imagination – you called me a dolt the last time we fought.”
“We’re not fighting.”
She knows it would be difficult to explain it to Richard, so she doesn’t bother. Under different circumstances, she might. If they were to live times of peace and lazy afternoons spend in the company of each other, without having to be always on the run, always the prey and seldom the hunter.
She’d like to show him more of what lies within her – the burning fire she quenches unwillingly; it’s a war, Kahlan Amnell; she hates this tune.
She can easily see that he loves her, and he might want to know that part of her that tries to make up for her lost childhood. But then she reminds herself that they don’t have the time.
“We’re going left.”
“By whose judgment?”
“By mine.” Richard is tired; she can feel it from a distance.
“Fine.”
He finds it hard to believe: Kahlan and submission aren’t as much as uneasy allies; never friends. She doesn’t look at him, though.
“Let’s try your way”, he utters without thinking.
Kahlan is smiling again. He knows, her heart sings, he understands, her mind approves.
Time and again she can be the child she was never allowed to be.
