This is my first time participating in halfmoon, and I think its really amazing!

Like some really amazing people have already done, I'm offering drabbles to people who want them. Leave me a prompt, with the character(s) you want, the prompt (a word, a song lyric, etc.), and a rating.  I will write femslash and crossovers as well :)

Lisa’s jeans were always covered in grass stains, from tag with the neighborhood boys, hide and seek kisses behind the oak tree at the edge of their property, dropping off the low-hanging roof to giggle-sneak away with Molly and Sarah, her best friends since kindergarten.
But Baby’s jeans never had grass stains. Newspaper ink yes, and once some blood from a paper cut off her favorite book, but never green. And she never dropped off the roof, because she was tucked under her covers at 7:30 just like her parents told her to be.
Now, though, as she runs through the downpour, her and Johnny’s laughter blending into one joyful soaking sound, she spies a grass stain and smiles. Maybe it’s time to untuck her covers and drop off that roof after all.

Oh, it's a lovely fic. Baby and her sister are so arguement prone for the film, I love the little bit of imulation Baby is doing here, even if she does or doesn't know it.

The Pretender: Miss Parker, defying expectations, nothing above R.

What no one knows is Miss Parker owns a bottle of pale pink glittery nail polish, the watery kind you buy at a corner drugstore for ninety-nine cents. It’s been sitting in her desk drawer so long the pink has separated, tendrils of glitter curled at the top, heavy pink faded almost to white coating the bottom. She bought it the night of her first day at The Center, after Daddy told her he had always known she would be his perfect successor, she’s always been so good at pushing emotions aside and doing what needs to be done.
Just like a man, he’d said.
Just like a man with a bottle of pale pink glittery nail polish, that she’ll never wear, but always hold onto. Because sometimes Daddy’s belief system gets a little screwed up, and he doesn’t seem to understand she’s just like a woman. Not the way he sees women, all pink and glitter, but then again lately she’s realized defying Daddy’s expectations isn’t something she needs to be afraid of.

Irina steals everything, a compulsion Jack blinds himself to because life is so much easier when you don’t see anything but the way your wife slinks across the sheets like you’re the only prey she desires. Lipsticks and nail polishes line the underside of the sink where she keeps her tampons, as if she thinks his gray-haired masculinity will never venture in there. A pair of tawdry earrings intertwined with the diamonds he bought her on their anniversary, a pack of gum under her birth control pills. He doesn’t speak of these things because no man wants to admit their wife is a kleptomaniac, because what man wouldn’t blame himself when his wife looks to a pack of gum to bring excitement into her life.
Jack realizes now she was keeping her skills sharp, the better to steal herself away without a sound.

Oh awesome! Love the way the little things she steals are intertwined with the touches of domesticity and marriage and sex, like she never did really reveal herself even there. And what other people do for the thrill, Irina does for practice. Thank you for writing this!

1. Sam’s backpack rips open in the hallway. His shoulders sag and he looks so heavy with weariness even twelve year old Kate wants to cry. She drops to her knees in the middle of the rows of lockers, and their hands brush as she scoops his notebooks and pens back into the ancient fabric. Sam takes her to the movies as a thank you, but the next day his father forces their car to another town.
2. On the run, Kate stops for a second at a gas station to switch clothes. Splashing freezing water on her face, she is still blinded by droplets as she exits the tiny bathroom, and catches her new suede jacket on the door handle. A large hand curls over hers, and extracts the material from its twist around the cheap metal. They both smile, and then recognition spills into their eyes. “Need a lift?” Sam asks, and Kate can only nod.
3. Kate wraps her arms around her stomach, already beautifully larger after four months. Sam lays his hands on hers, and feels the baby kick, and he actually giggles with delight. Kate can’t stop laughing, until he lays his perfect mouth on hers.

Bones, Temperence and Angela being BFFs, please.

When Temperence gets sick, she does research. She rifles through all her books to match symptoms to scientific names for sickness to pharmaceutically proven remedies.
When Temperence gets sick, Angela brings her homemade chicken noodle soup. She draws her funny pictures, and entertains her by going through cold case files with her.
When Angela gets sick, Temperence learns how to make chicken noodle soup. It’s not perfect, but Angela loves it anyway.

Now that the decision no longer needs to be made, Angela realizes she would have said yes. Not right away, because even impulsivity requires careful thought, especially when both a baby and her heart would have been at stake. But she would have said yes. She wishes she still had that decision to make.
