Day 1: Self-rec, fic - Killjoys (Dutch), Miss Scarlet (Eliza Scarlet)
Two fics about ladies and their work clothes!
First, a self-rec. This is a drabble I wrote last year, about Dutch from Killjoys. She's a bounty hunter, and she's often wearing a lovely pair of boots on the job.

And secondly, a new little ficlet. This one is private detective Eliza Scarlet, who always looks so professional. She has to, because men often don't take her seriously. (The series is set in late 1800s London)

Eliza carefully studies her reflection in the mirror, making sure nothing is askew on today's outfit. People can question her credentials all they want, but they can't say she doesn't look professional at least.
She smooths out a wrinkle in her sleeve and checks the pockets of her skirt. Empty, for now, but she never knows when she might find a bit of interesting evidence or information to be tucked away for further examination later. She then adjusts the tie around her neck to make sure it's not too tight.
This is one of her favorite dresses. It's respectable in its design and color, but also practical enough to maneuver in if she has to resort to climbing through windows for some additional crime scene investigation.
Eliza places a matching hat on her head, and smiles at how it completes the look.
Suitable for another day of private detective work.
