Looking for recs?

There have been so many awesome recs in this community, it's become a wonderful resource. I'm sure all of us have bookmarked at least a handful of stories to read for later. However, I'm sure there are still some fandoms that have been missed.

My idea for this post is for it to be sort of a miniature version of fic-search communities like stargate_search.

First: post a comment to this entry requesting recs for a particular character, fandom, or type of fic/vid/fanart.

Then: look at other people's comments and see if you can reply, linking them to any stories/vids/fic of the type they requested. :D

I always felt like Due South's female characters never got enough love. Can anyone link me to stories about Meg Thatcher, Frannie Vecchio, Stella Kowalski, Victoria Metcalfe, Maggie McKenzie, Elaine Besbriss, Fraser's mother or any minor characters?

I love Heroes but I haven't gone looking for lots of fic. Can anyone link me to any good Claire fic? (Preferably not Petrelli-cest, it's just not my thing.)

I know I posted a bit myself, but I'll take anything good about any of the female Cowboy Bebop characters (including Ed and including minor characters.) Any pairing is fine if the story centers around them (and, uh, doesn't involve an underage Ed.)

I'm also always looking for good Minerva McGonagall fic. I know there was some posted here before but whatever anyone wants to rec is great.

For Minerva McGonagall, the firth thing that comes to mind is rhoddlet's Blood Destiny (http://rhoddlet.livejournal.com/208095.html) which I think is brilliant. Also because it inspired an equally brilliant fic by pogrebin exploring the same theme but on a different scale, although it features Hermione. Mudbloods/Muggleborns, Tom Riddle, and a younger Dumbledore, and Minerva at the center.

As for Cowboy Bebop...it's not quite a pairing as a giant conglomeration that features the entire group as a whole. I haven't read it in a while, but I remember it fondly as one of my first forays into fanfiction, in any fandom, and it had sort of joviality about it that wasn't tasteless, but just funny. Or maybe my memories are twisting them around. Either way, check these (http://www.big-big-truck.com/bebop/ao/) out. I think I first read "Freaks Flock Together," where the gang goes undercover at some kind of family rejuvenation counseling clinic.

I think I've seen those Bebop fics before, and maybe even read a little sample and liked them, but either way they sound very funny and awesome.

And the Harry Potter fic also looks great. Thanks so much!

Requests: Horses and/or Outdoors (Fic, Any Fandom)

Any fandom - I'd rather gen than 'ship, but I'm not going to turn my nose up at good stories.

"Horses" should be self-explanatory, but by "Outdoors" I'm meaning things like camping, hiking, (rock climbing?) and esp living in the woods/wilds/wilderness/icepack/desert. Any tech level.
