Hi! We have things in common! I realized that I didn't put a lot of detail in my comment here but. My actual DW is quiet and fannish but I am trying to be more open here (again, after a lot on LJ) and I am a leftist (with not a lot of theory, just a lot of life experience and burnout). I want to talk more about books and stuff here. I won't be offended if you don't want to be friends but I thought I would say hi :)

Hey! Yes, absolutely, let's give it a whirl. You actually just inspired me to try to write a little Miranda Barlow thing! I've always really liked her - she's so well-read but then like, very heterodox philosophically? Anyway, it was fun to at least try to get into her head.

That's so cool! I love her to pieces. Actually I have like 5 books in progress right now and one is the only audiobook narrated by Louise Barnes (Miranda) and it's about piracy but the jury is out on if it's good because I just started it and the premise is a little wobbly, IMO. But I should try to finish it soon!
