Fic Rec Day Seven - Generations

Yes, I am aware it is March 10. If you don't tell, I won't either.

This was a hard prompt for recs. I thought of a couple of stories right away, and had to discard them because they are about the men and this week is about the women.

And here we are on the final prompt of the challenge, reflecting on the questions of legacy. Have we learned from those who came before us? Have we done right by those who will follow?

So, "Concession" is not about Iron Man, it is about Pepper Potts. But it was written for the Iron Man movie verse, so as you can imagine, Tony Stark is unavoidable, which is both the plot and theme of this fic, now that I think about it. It is not at all a shippy story, despite that relationship tag. When an author says "no warnings, no guarantees," I would consider that a warning. It is a disturbing story.

"Concession" would be on my top ten all time best list of fics I've ever read, in any fandom. The quality of the writing, including structure, characterizations, particularly of reporter Christine Everhart, theme, and the suspenseful plot, is uniformly excellent. It has my highest recommendation.

Does it fulfill the theme as well as I think it does? Read it and let me know.

That is one of my all-time favorite Iron Man stories. Seconding this rec for this prompt.
