When I lived in NC, we had cats. And, as someone that state personally tried to kill with allergens, I was afraid I'd become allergic too.
Turns out, if your body is overloaded by grass and weed and tree pollens, ALL allergens become an issue.
Moved to a slightly more sensible state, and I have no issues with the cats. Apparently, as it is the molds here killing me, the dander is a non-entity.
(Ask me how happy I am that, 12 years into living here, we JUST discovered it is the molds? But I'd been a night worker, mostly, and wasn't being exposed heavily until this past year.)
